Life Changing Moments

I've had a couple life changing events occur in the last 24 hours.

First, I was riding the elevator down after work today, and I almost wet myself. I work on the 21st floor, so the upper elevators are high speed. When the elevator first started going down it made a weird noise that I've never heard before. Then the noise went away, and I swear the elevator was falling faster than it normally does! So then my imagination starts spinning wildly out of control, and I had flashbacks to riding the Tower of Terror at Disneyland. Well, the elevator beeped to signal that I was nearing the lobby, and I promise, it didn't seem to slow down at all. By this point, I'm imagining what it must feel like to go careening into the ground. And then the elevator stopped, and I got off. I lived. But for a while there, I was sure I was a goner! =)

The second life changing event was a dream. Not dreamy, just a dream. I dreamed that I met up with a bunch of my friends from high school (who in real life I really adore). I was so excited to see all my friends, but they just called me a sellout and didn't want to talk to me because I never contact them anymore. And then I saw some of my extended family members who I haven't seen for a while, and the same thing happened.

It was a really awful because I really haven't seen or talked to these people for a long time, so I woke up feeling horrible! It's amazing how quickly time goes by, and I still haven't contacted my loved ones.

So, I set a goal to reach out to at least one person every single day. Today is the first day, and it's going well. =)

  1. AMBER!!! I love you, and could never ever think ill of you! I don't see how anyone could, so if anyone EVER calls you a sellout it's because they are uber jealous of how fantasticly amazingly wonderful you are!!! Are you going to do Christmas cards again this year that I won't be able to recognize? :) We need another girls night!
