The people in my office are horrible offenders of the reply all button. This morning, one person sent an email to the entire staff asking if anyone knew about a building. A second person clicked reply all to let him know that she does, "let's talk." Maybe this is unusual, but I don't care to know her response. What is so difficult about clicking reply rather than reply all? The buttons are so close together. Maybe that is why she made the mistake. She didn't realize she clicked the wrong button. The buttons may in fact be TOO close together.
To anyone within eyeshot of this blog, please! The next time you think about using the fantastic reply all feature, just stop, take a moment or two, and ask yourself: "Does EVERYONE really want to read this, or should I keep it a private conversation? 9 times out of 10 the rest of the staff probably doesn't want to know.
What?! You blog..... I almost forgot you had one! LOL. Yes reply all is annoying, I agree:)
ReplyDeleteMy coworkers are horrible about using the "reply all" button as well. I constantly get emails from 37 people congratulating one particular coworker on an accomplishment or some such silliness. Totally unnecessary, in my opinion.
