My glorious visiting teaching companion, Vanessa, suggested I keep a blog of our adventures in philly this summer. I think the idea is grand, so here is my freshly created blog. I hope that Adam will feel more than welcome to add to it, or remind me to add to it regularly.
For those of you who don't know, Adam and I are going to be in Philadelphia PA for the summer. We are going with stone security (who we sold security systems with last year in Denver), only this year Adam will be installing the security systems, and I will be working in the office once again. Adam is shooting for 200 installs this summer. If he reaches that goal we will get a flatscreen plasma tv, and a seven day cruise to hawaii! Woot! He tried to get as many pre-season installs as he could, and I think the final count for his pre-season installs was 37. His goal was 40, so I am extremely proud of him.
I am so glad that everything went so well as we were preparing to leave on this trip. I had so much help from both sides of our family. They helped pack, move, and clean which made it all so much easier. We had an action packed week for sure. I finished my last day of work on tuesday, we moved all our extra stuff into storage (and packed it all...) on wednesday, my sister's wedding reception was thursday, I gratuated with my bachelors in communication on friday morning, my sister was sealed friday afternoon, we packed our car and left saturday morning, and Adam's parents were staying with us for the weekend... I feel so blessed that we made it!
Right now, it is 12:26 central time. We are driving through Omaha nebraska looking for a hotel room. We stopped in Lincoln NE so find a hotel, but alas there is a freaking marathon going on tomorrow in lincoln... What are the chances?!
