First Spray Painting Attempt

Nicole over at Enzy Living never ceases to amaze me with all the things she magically makes look amazing just by using a little spray paint.

I used to be scared of spray paint. I didn’t think it would coat the item very well, and it would probably end up splotchy and spattered… Well, after seeing the amazing things Nicole was doing, I thought I’d give it a whirl.

Don’t let Nicole fool you folks. It’s harder than it looks. Especially if you don’t read the directions on the back of the can, and if you use the ‘hairspray’ method like I did… Apparently long strokes are the key, and don’t get within an inch of the object like someone I know did… Cough.

My skilled grandpa had a good long laugh at how badly I messed up this mini file cabinet. He set me straight though.

Keep in mind, I’m only sharing my horrible mistakes with the whole world because I fixed them. I now know the proper technique, and am pleased to say I successfully executed it on a project. Stay tuned for details. Also, please learn from my mistakes. If you have questions, ask a grandpa or Nicole. =)
