To Cut, or Not to Cut...

I have a confession. I haven't so much as trimmed my hair since June 27th. Horrible. I know. You are supposed to get your hair trimmed at least every two months, and it's been almost three since I've had mine trimmed.

So the time has finally come. But now I'm thinking that I need to do something a little drastic. My hair has been coming out in chunks lately, and it's feeling really thin, so I thought I'd cut a lot off.

I've been on the fence about this because I've been trying to grow my hair out for a long time now, and to be honest, I love long hair. I love to feel it blow in the wind behind me, and I feel like a little girl everytime I curl it and feel it bounce as I walk (joyously) down stairs... Lol, TMI. Yes, I have a very intimate relationship with my hair.

The other problem is that I love short hair too. I want a fe-mohawk. I saw a lady at six flags whose hair was real short on the sides and back (like a pixie cut) and the top was probably 3-4 inches long standing straight up and kinda messy. Wow. I loved it.

Okay, so today is D-Day. Or maybe HC-Day? I've got an appointment to get my hair cut and colored today. I still don't know what I want. Yesterday I was super gung-ho about cutting my hair to my shoulders, maybe getting some bangs, and some kind of sweet hair color. But then I blow dried my hair this morning, and suddenly, it feels so long and soft! It's glistening in the sunlight today, it's falling perfectly... I realize that my old bangs are finally grown out and I don't know if I want new ones. Ack...

Suddenly I feel very conflicted.

The picture above was taken just a few moments ago via arm-tripod & phone. I thought I'd document how long my hair is before it's potentially gone... We'll just have to wait and see what happens at 5pm... I'll post an 'after' picture if the change is dramatic. =)
