Alright all my peeps. (ha ha, I remember in 9th grade when saying 'peeps' was so cool) This is a shout out to all y'all to give you the 411, the D.L., get you in the know...
I haven't blogged about my biggest summer adventure because I didn't want to disclose much about it until it was over. Here it is....
*lights dim, music intensifies, and there is an undenyable sense of anticipation in the air*
Adam was gone all summer. Ta da!
I figured since I was living alone for four months, it probably wasn't the best idea to post everywhere that I was living alone for four months. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely tough (I took a self defense class, and a boxing class. Best idea ever!), but i'm not real stupid. You gotta play defense and offense right?
So now that the news is out, you are probably wondering, "Well, how did it go?" To which I'll respond, "It was the biggest adventure I had all summer."
To be quite frank with you, I had my up's and down's. Some days I was doing so great. I would get so much done; I would exercise, cook dinner, watch SYTYCD, do laundry, and paint my nails all in one night. And other days I would come home from work and sleep all night. Not because I necessarily needed the sleep, but more because I didn't want to do anything.
The hardest part was when Adam was in Russia. Just so you know, Adam spent a month and a half in San Jose, CA; 5 weeks in Siberia, Russia; then another month and a half in San Jose. Over the entire summer I saw him for 12 days (if my math is correct). The time he spent in Russia was the hardest for me because I couldn't call or text him any time I wanted. We were only able to email once a day. At the end of his adventure out there we got to talk once a day, and it was like heaven.
Adam got home last Sunday (the 16th) at 4:30am. I couldn't be happier. He is such an amazing guy. I am just so delighted to be around him, and then sometimes it sinks in that I am MARRIED to this hottie! Woot!! I am so excited. (I have the memory of a goldfish)
If any of you have marital problems or otherwise, just send them to the far nether regions of siberia for 5 weeks. It will clear most everything up. By the time they get home you will be so happy to see them that nothing they do can offend you! Genius!
Thank you a million times to all you 'peeps' who were there for me during the experience. It was so amazing to have such an outpouring of help and love come from the people around me. Even if you don't feel like you actually helped, just knowing that you had my back was so reassuring. I'm so happy to be surrounded by such wonderful people.
*standing ovation for all the people who helped out. tears rolling down all the cheeks because it's so touching*
